Eagles Win Against Their Older Brethren in Alumni Game

Eagles Win Against Their Older Brethren in Alumni Game

In a first half that saw the seasoned Alumni of Emmaus Bible College trail by only one point at halftime, the Emmaus men overcame a rough opening half to defeat the Alumni 89-64 in Pollard Fieldhouse.

As this was the only scrimmage the Eagles would have going into the regular season, the Eagles came out a little off the mark offensively and maybe showed a case of the opening game jitters.  The depth of the Eagles probably took its toll on the veteran Alumni who gamely challenged the younger players.  The pressure applied by the younger players caused many turnovers by the Alumni and some shots that weren't falling in the first half found their mark in the second half.  All the Eagles played in the game and helped contribute to the victory.

The Eagles will hope to have shed all their preseason jitters in time for their first games of the season this weekend.  On Friday night at 7:00, the Eagles will play Judson University here in Pollard Fieldhouse.  Then, on Saturday afternoon at 3:00, Trinity University comes to town to battle the Eagles in their second game.

May this year be a successful year for the Eagles as they too strive to win their games and honor the Lord regardless.
