Haskell Defeats Emmaus Men

The Emmaus men traveled to Lawrence, Kansas for an evening game with Haskell Indian Nations and lost by a score of 74-59.

Playing their first game back from the Christmas break, the Eagles jumped out early on the home team and then hit a cold stretch.  Haskell went on a 22-4 run that the Eagles just couldn't recover from.  Nathaniel Glidewell had 9 points and 6 rebounds in the first half while Elijah Reeves kept battling on the boards with 4 offensive boards credited to his behalf.  However, the Eagles were having difficulty controlling the ball against the Haskell pressure and lost the ball 15 times in the first half.

In the second half, the Eagles couldn't find their shots.  They tried a zone and Haskell adjusted well.  The turnovers dropped in half but with shots not falling, the game stayed away from the Eagles.

Glidewell and Matthew Tomlinson led the Eagles with 14 points each.  Reeves had a double double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.  Playing his best game of the season, including hitting two tough layups was Angelo Lott with 5 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.  Jon Lahoud hit a three pointer late in the game which finished the scoring for the evening as the Eagles would head to Kansas City to face Kansas Christian.
