Eagles Come Up Short Against Manhattan

The Emmaus Men came into their semifinal game against regular season champion Manhattan Christian on a four game winning streak, hoping to advance with an upset win.  It was not to be however as the Eagles fought hard but fell short by the score of 90-72.

The score at the half was 48-39 in favor of Manhattan but Emmaus battled.  Steven Horan led the Eagles at the break with 12 points while Elijah Reeves added 9 points.  The score was tied three times and the lead changed 6 times in the first half.

The Eagles made a run in the second half but not enough to overcome their deficit.  Manhattan was just too strong.  Three players for the Eagles reached double figures:  Horan led the way with 22 points and 4 steals, Elijah Reeves had 16 points and Nathaniel Glidewell contributed 14 points and seven rebounds.

Next up for the Eagles would be Faith Baptist.
