On to Semifinals!

The Men started off Regionials with a convincing win over Trinity Bible College to send them into the next round.

The Eagles got on the board first when Nacio Dillard hit a 3 right at the start of the game, and the men went up 14-3 in the first 4 minutes of the contest. Their defensive effort was once again a key factor in their victory as they held Trinity to less than 25 points in each half. Emmaus scored 71 points in the first half off of 20 assists while only commiting 4 turnovers. At the end of the game, the Eagles walked away with a 116-46 victory over the Lions.

Tonight's effort once again saw all 9 players put up points, 7 of them in double digits. Brandon Redding lead the team with 20 points, Austin Brammer and Dillard added 18 points and 5 assists each, Nick Johnson and Elijah Reeves both came away from the game with double-doubles, and Stevie Horan notched a triple-double.

When asked about the experience, Reeves said: "It's always fun to play when the entire team is hitting and the crowd is loud!". And Coach Edmondson added his thoughts: "I was really pleased with the way ours guys came out ready to play coming off of the big win at Eureka on Monday.  I told the guys before the game that we showed what we could do on Monday, but the mark of really good teams is consistency and we needed to follow up with another good game tonight, and that's what we did. Now we get to take on Maranatha, the #1 seed, and see how much we have really improved and I am really excited about the opportunity."

The Men are 5-23 on the season and will play Maranatha in the semifinal game on Friday.
