Eagles Look to Bust Brackets at 2020 MCCC Tournament
The Emmaus Eagles men's basketball team will travel to Joplin, MO this week, looking to make a run in the 2020 Midwest Christian College Conference Tournament at Ozark Christian College.
The #8-seeded Eagles will tipoff against #2-seeded, Barclay College on Thursday, Feb. 20 @ 4:15pm. This quarterfinal contest is a rematch of the Eagles most recent game on Saturday, Feb. 15, where Barclay came away with a 79-52 win.
The Eagles come off consecutive losses to the MCCC's top 4 teams over their last four games. Although unable to earn a victory, the Eagles have played some of their best basketball of the year in the season's final month.
"We are looking forward to this week's MCCC Tournament," stated interim head coach Chris McHugh. "We know that our group still has room to grow and improve this week. And we will use film from our recent games to learn and grow. I know that we are facing a tough Barclay team on Thursday, but we will be ready to compete."
