Redding Named 1st Team All-Region; Cunard Recognized

Following the Emmaus Eagles 2019-20 men's basketball season, Brandon Redding, has been recognized to the 1st Team All-North Region by the region's nine head coaches.

1st Team All-Region: Brandon Redding

Redding, a 3rd year small forward, propelled the Eagles in 2019-20, in a season filled with personal milestones on the court.

Redding finished the season as the NCCAA Division II top scorer, averaging 30.0 points/game on 47% shooting from the field, and 34% shooting from beyond the arc.

Over 21 games for the Eagles, Redding scored at a historic clip, setting the Emmaus school record for points in a single game, with 43 points at Moody Bible Institute on Nov. 9, 2019.

On the season, Redding's point totals broke down as follows:

2 - 40+ point games

9 - 30+ point games

7 - 20+ point games

3 - 15+ point games

And Redding (who exited game action for only 27 minutes in 2019-20), surpassed the 1,000-point threshold for his Emmaus career versus Maranatha Baptist University on Jan. 28, 2020.

Honorable Mention All-Region: Cody Cunard

Emmaus center, Cody Cunard, was recognized as an honorable mention player by the regional coaches.

Cunard, who began the season as the team's assistant coach, reenrolled at Emmaus for the Spring 2020 semester and immediately contributed on the court.

Cunard finished in the top-25 nationally in rebounds/game, and became a floor leader for the Eagles.  His size and defensive awareness helped the Eagles defense improve dramatically over the second half of the season.
