Emmaus Signs Kerttula

Emmaus Signs Kerttula

The Eagles are excited to announce the addition of Seth Kerttula to their roster for the 2020-2021 season.

Kerttula comes from Helena MT, where he played basketball at Helena Christian School. This past year, Seth averaged 13.4 Points, 6.8 Rebounds, 2.5 Steals, and 2.2 Assists per game. Over the course of his career, he landed on the All-Conference team twice, and earned All-State honors once. Seth is following in his siblings' footsteps as his sisters Marissa and Emma both played 4 years for the Lady Eagles, and his brother Andrew suited up last year as well.

Coach Graw said "We are more than excited to add Seth to our program, especially as we build the foundation and culture. After having the pleasure of coaching both his sisters Marissa and Emma, the Kerttula name holds a lot of weight to me. It means Christ first, unmatched work ethic, and the best teammates you will ever find." About Seth's skill, he added, "Seth is a very versatile player at 6'3". He has the ability to shoot outside, both mid-range and three, while also being a force driving the ball to the rim. His vision is that of a point guard when seeing the court and of course it is his competitive nature and work ethic that separates him from others. Seth is a huge culture pick up for us and we are very thankful to have him along for this journey."

"I chose Emmaus because I think that it will be a great place for me to grow both spiritually and academically surrounded by other young Christians." Kerttula stated, "I also think that Coach Graw is a great coach who knows how to build a program, and I want to be a part of that."

Seth is undecided on his Major but is plannign to earn his one-year Bible Certificate.
