Behrens to Join Eagles Basketball Squad in 2024

Ethan Behrens of Pochahontas Area High School has signed his letter of intent to join the Emmaus Men's Basketball program. Ethan is the second player to join the incoming 2024 class.

Behrens said he chose Emmaus because "It was the best choice from an academic standpoint and as a student-athlete, but mostly Emmaus is going to help me grow in my relationship with Christ." Ethan will be working towards his degree in Business Administration.

"We're really glad that Ethan has decided to jump on board with us. He's a great athlete and a hard worker who is going to help us continue to get better. I'm excited to get to coach him and see how far he can go as a player. We're about higher purpose basketball, and Ethan is someone who fits right into that purpose" shared Coach Parker.

A two-time, Twin Lakes Conference all-conference player for the Indians, Behrens averaged 15ppg on 50% field goal percentage and added 6 rebounds per game in his senior season. 

Emmaus is a fully-accredited four-year college offering more than 30 professional and ministry-related academic programs. Emmaus athletic teams compete in the NCCAA Division II and the Midwest Christian College Conference.
