Shaw Commits to Emmaus

William Shaw has signed his letter of intent to join the Emmaus Men's Basketball program for the 2024-2025 season. Shaw, a homeschool student who played for the Miami Valley Saints out of Urbana, Ohio, becomes the 3rd addition to the incoming class.

Shaw, a standout player for the Saints, recorded 20.4 ppg on 48% shooting, including going 55% from the 3pt line. He also averaged 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals per game. In addition to multiple team awards, he scored 1,387 points in his career and earned the team MVP award.

"I chose Emmaus Bible College because I wanted a school that gave an opportunity to grow closer to Jesus and play the sport that I love, which is basketball. The coaching staff, community, players, and students were all welcoming and showed the light of Jesus in them," wrote William.

Coach Parker shared that, "William is one of those guys who I think is going to be really successful here. He's a tremendous basketball player, but a great character young man who knows how to play with a higher purpose. Having him and his family joining the Emmaus Basketball family is going to be something special."

Emmaus is a fully-accredited four-year college offering more than 30 professional and ministry-related academic programs. Emmaus athletic teams compete in the NCCAA Division II and the Midwest Christian College Conference.
