Lady Eagles are Victorious Over Crossroads

It was a cold Friday night on January 15 as the Lady Eagles traveled north to Minnesota to play the Crossroads Knights. It took a few minutes for the Lady Eagles to shake off the effects of traveling and get into a rhythm. At the end of the first quarter, the Lady Eagles led by 14 points. From that point on, the Lady Eagles had a firm hold of the game and never looked back.

The Crossroads Knights gave a great effort, but ultimately fell short with the Lady Eagles on top.  Madison Laib led the Eagles with 18 points and 13 rebounds. This Friday saw a great effort from the Lady Eagle's bench with a total of 27 points. The bench scoring was led by two freshmen, Marissa Kerttula (14 points) and Alli Howard (8 points). With a final score of 58-18 in Emmaus favor, Coach Graw doesn't take anything for granted. "I know exactly what Crossroads and Coach Westerlund are going through. It was just 2 seasons ago that we were in the same situation as them, and I count every game a blessing for us to compete. Coach Westerlund is doing a great job rebuilding that program and I expect to see a much stronger Crossroads team next year."
