Lady Eagles Score Tenth Win of the Season Against CCCB

The Emmaus Lady Eagles squared off against Central Christian College of the Bible on Friday, January 22. The Eagles came out running and scoring multiple transition points. Madison Laib was very aggressive getting her hands in the passing lanes all night. With primary on the ball defenders Nakiah Kimble and Sharon Tomlinson out the rest of the game after the first quarter, the Eagle's defense was still able to maintain control. At the half the Lady Eagles led 38 by 31 at halftime.

The third quarter was all Emmaus. The Lady Eagles continued playing great defense and shot well to post a 15 point lead at the end of the third quarter. The Central Christian College Saints never gave up and kept fighting. The Saints pulled within nine points in the fourth quarter. The young Eagles finished strong, making multiple defensive stops and shooting well from the field. The Lady Eagles closed the game ahead by twelve points. Madison Laib led with 23 points, 6 rebounds, 5 steals and 4 assists followed by Shelby Hembera with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Coach Graw had this to say, "Another big win in a very tough environment. When Nakiah and Sharon went down early, I didn't really know how our defense would respond but other girls stepped up and got the job done."

The Lady Eagles continue to play well and earned their tenth win of the season.
