Lady Eagles Continue Winning Streak with Barclay Victory

On Friday, February 5, the Lady Eagles tipped off against the Barclay Bears. Emmaus came out of the gate strong scoring 22 points in the first quarter. The Eagles struggled from behind the three point line, only hitting 25% of their three point shots for the game.

At halftime, the Lady Eagles led 38 to 23. The Eagles were able to rebound well but struggled turning the ball over. This allowed the Bears to stay within striking distance but were never able to make a run. The Eagles finished on top winning 68-54. Madison Laib (22 points 4 assists) and Shelby Hembra (15 points and 14 rebounds) led the Eagles in scoring.

The Eagles' poor outside shooting led to the Eagles finding more creative ways to score and saw a very balanced scoring attack. Four of the Lady Eagles finished with over 10 points in the game. The Eagles continue to find ways to win and extend their winning streak to nine games.
