Lady Eagles Sweep Triangular

DUBUQUE, IA – Emmaus won both matches at home today, sweeping both Dayspring Bible College and Calvary Bible College with scores of 3-0.

In the Dayspring Match, the Lady Eagles kept the tempo quick and found ways to exploit the visitor's defense.  Emmaus hit .227 for the match, with Elizabeth Brame (9 kills) and Alli Howard (8 kills) leading the offense.  Molly Skoglund had 12 digs, and Hannah Bell dished up 31 assists.

In the second match against MCCC opponent Calvary, the Lady Eagles again found fast starts and were able to maintain the lead for most of each set.  Emmaus only had 2 service errors and were perfect on receptions.

"We did a great job playing at a quick pace and played some very cohesive volleyball today," commented Coach Pitman.

With the wins, the Lady Eagles improve to 8-5 (3-2 MCCC).  Emmaus returns to action on Tuesday (10/6) at home for a rematch with Faith Baptist Bible College (Ankeny, IA).  Match time is 6:00 pm in the Pollard Fieldhouse.
