Lady Eagles End Regular Season with Solid Win

KANSAS CITY, MO – The Emmaus volleyball team ended a long road trip with a win against Calvary University to finish out regular season play.  "It was a tough and really special victory," commented Coach Ruter.

The Lady Eagles continued to play as a unit, fighting hard for every point in the match while sticking to their game plan.  "We saw the court really well and made smart plays consistently, which I feel is what won us the game," said Coach Ruter.

Emmaus finishes regular season play with a record of 12-4 (6-2 MCCC).  The Lady Eagles are expected to be seeded second for the MCCC tournament in Manhattan, KS this coming weekend.

"I am proud of our team and how we have stuck together this season in all situations, many of them being difficult ones" said Coach Pitman.  "We are playing some great volleyball and we hope to continue to shine for the Lord on the court in post-season play regardless of the results on the scoreboard."

The Lady Eagles make the trek to Manhattan on Thursday afternoon and will play their first match of the MCCC tournament on Friday morning.  Official seeding and game times will be announced soon.
