BRYAN, TX – The Lady Eagles are proud to welcome Halle Postma as the second member of their 2018 recruiting class.

Postma brings a great deal of volleyball experience to Emmaus. She earned five varsity letters for the Aggieland Panthers, where she primarily set but also played some right side and middle. Halle earned the "Most Consistent Server" award for all of her high school career. She also played basketball throughout high school, as well as running cross country for two years and track for one year.

"Halle will be a great addition to our team this fall," said Coach Pitman. "She has good knowledge of the game, and she is able to bring a lot of experience and flexibility to the court".

Postma had several reasons for choosing Emmaus:

"As a first time college student, I wanted to move away from home as I thought it would better allow me to focus on academics. Second, Emmaus offers a Christian perspective for Psychology and I wanted to have that foundation. Third, seeing the positive influence Emmaus has had on my brother, Caleb, I knew I would be in good hands. And last, knowing I would have my brother and his wife, Hannah, by my side for my freshman year made the decision easier."

Regarding volleyball, Halle added, "I knew finding a way to stay active would help me in my academics, as well as the extra structure; but I mostly am looking forward to the community of being a part of a team and getting to play the sport again."

Postma plans to major in Counseling Psychology at Emmaus. She is the daughter of Bruce and Lee Postma, sister to Emmaus student Caleb Postma, and sister in-law to teammate Hannah Postma.
