DUBUQUE, IA – In a complete reversal of their last meeting, Emmaus swept the Lady Panthers of Ellsworth Community College at home on Tuesday evening.  Ellsworth had previously swept Emmaus in Iowa Falls on September 10th (23-25, 19-25, 21-25).

Set one was a slugfest, with Ellsworth hitting 10 kills at .194, and Emmaus putting down 12 kills at a whopping .333.  Things were back and forth, but with the score knotted at 20 the Lady Eagles were able to make a 5 point run on solid play to end the set (25-20).

Emmaus caught fire as they took to the floor again, and never trailed in sets two and three - completing the sweep with scores of 25-12 and 25-18.

"This was definitely the cleanest match we have played this season, and the results are a direct reflection of that," commented Coach Pitman.  "We have been talking about and working toward more consistent play, and this was a great example of what we can accomplish against a very solid opponent if we execute to our potential!  We are continuing to improve, and I am very proud of our effort."

The Lady Eagles have two regular season matches remaining;  the team heads to Elgin Community College in Illinois tomorrow night, and then will host Maranatha Baptist University on Saturday at home.  As always, visit the Emmaus Volleyball Website or the Emmaus Athletics Facebook page for match times, live stream info, and updates.
