Trojans March to Victory over the Eagles

Playing their second game in two nights, the Eagles faced a determined powerhouse in The Trinity International Trojans. The Eagles came up on the short end 101-63. The visitors from Chicago have a deep, tall, and athletic team that wore down the Eagles despite a gritty determined effort by the Emmaus men's teams.

Similar to the game on Friday night, the Eagles fell behind early on. The Eagles hung tough with a 10 point deficit with 5 minutes to go in the first half. At that point the Trojans went on a 15-4 run, giving them a big cushion to play with. The Eagles hung tough behind Steven Horan's 13 points and Nathaniel Glidewell's 10 in the first half. Unfortunately the pressure defense of the Trojans forced 15 first half turnovers by the Eagles. The Trojans lead at the break 57-34.

The second half continued with more of the same as the Trojan's pressure defense caused more Eagle turnovers. Steven Horan continued his stellar game and finished with 20 points. Nathaniel Glidewell ended the game with 14 points as well.

Despite their second consecutive loss the Eagles continued to fight. They are looking for more consistency on offense in the future. There are four games next week for the Eagles, the first of which is at 5:00 pm Tuesday at home against Dayspring.
