Eagles Play Better but Short Again Against Mayville

The Mayville St. University was kind enough to host the Eagles on site and it was nice to be right there on campus near the cafeteria and gym.  As the sun arose, a new day gave the Eagles a new opportunity to redeem themselves from the previous night's showing.

Although the Eagles still battled the shooting bug, one player found his shot and kept the Eagles more competitive than the first game.  Steven Horan, the feisty Eagle point guard, had taken some time earlier in the morning to work out a little in the gym and it must have really helped him.  Horan scored 33 points, hitting 4 threes and going 13 for 15 from the line.  With Horan helping carry the load offensively, the Eagles scored 28 more points than the first game against the Comets in a losing effort by the score of 89-68.
