The Manhattan Thunder defeated the Emmaus Eagles men at Pollard Fieldhouse on Friday evening (1-13) 89-71, giving the Eagles their second conference loss in as many attempts.
In the first half, the Eagles hung around and were led by the shooting of Matthew Tomlinson who went 5-6 from the floor, including 2-3 from behind the arc. The Thunder were getting to the free throw line a lot however and made 15 out of 20 to take a halftime lead of 37-32.
The second half saw the Thunder pull away from the Eagles led in scoring by their two big men inside. The Eagles were led by Cody Cunard and Elijah Reeves who combined for 21 second half points but the Thunder weren't to be denied as they outscored the Eagles by 13 points in the stanza.
Four players scored in double figures for the Eagles, led by Tomlinson who had 16 points. Cunard added 15 points, Nathaniel Glidewell scored 12 and Reeves added 10 points.
