Eagles Defeat Kansas Christian
Emmaus took on Kansas Christian for the third time in the National Tournament and defeated them 74-54. The Eagles overcame a poor shooting first half with 58.6% shooting in the second half to bring down Kansas.
The first half saw Kansas take an 8 point lead into the half as the Emmaus shot 10 less shots and made fewer baskets than Kansas did. Steven Horan led the Eagles with 9 points and Elijah Reeves added 8 with Cody Cunard putting in 7 points.
The second half belonged to Emmaus however as the ball began ripping through the net at a faster clip. Five Eagles scored in double figures and Reeves had a double/double. Matthew Tomlinson had 5 three pointers all in the final 4 minutes and finished with 17 points. Caleb Postma added 13 points while Reeves had 12 rebounds to match his 12 points. Both Horan and Cody Cunard scored 11 each.
