DUBUQUE, IA - The Eagles faced their toughest competition of the season as they took on the challenge of MacMurray College at home last Friday.
MacMurray played a game of solid defense and used the speed of their forwards and midfiedlers to set up dangerous opportunities in front of the Emmaus goal. The Highlanders only scored once in the first half, but ultimately outscored Emmaus 4-1 while using their deep bench to sub in fresh legs throughout the game.
The Eagles did have some good chances in front of the MacMurray goal, but found it tough to solve the defensive speed of MacMurray. The Eagles' only goal came in the second half when Mason McCarl (#1) connected on a header from Carson McBain's (#11) corner kick.
Emmaus will once again play against Eureka College on Tuesday at home after visiting Eureka last week.
