Lady Eagles Raise Banner at Alumni Game

Lady Eagles Raise Banner at Alumni Game

During the busy 75th Anniversary weekend, the Emmaus Lady Eagles started their quest for another big season by playing in the Alumni Game at Pollard Fieldhouse on Saturday, October 29.  Matching up against former players of Emmaus is a tradition here at the school and the Lady Eagles would like to make something else a tradition as well…..hanging up banners.

Although the game wasn't very close (Lady Eagles won by a score of 58-4), the end of the game had the ladies in a reflective moment.  With family members, students, and alumni all in the stands, Coach Kyle Graw's team watched as their 2016 MCCC Tournament and Regular Season Championship banner was revealed on the wall directly behind the scorers table.  It was a rare occasion as there is only one other banner hanging inside the Fieldhouse, that one belonging to the 1995 Lady Eagles.  These Lady Eagles placed 4th in the ACCA National Tournament this past Spring.

Coach Graw's team is ready to go towards another run at the conference championship and a shot at the national title.  The team returns a deep roster from last year's team and has included incoming players into the mix as well.  It will be a fun year for the team as they strive to compete at their highest level and honor the Lord while doing so.

The team's first game is Saturday, Nov. 5, at 2:00 as they battle Grace University in Omaha, NE.  Go Eagles.
