Lady Eagles Claim Regular Season Title, Ready For 2020 MCCC Tournament
The Emmaus Lady Eagles women's basketball team completed an undefeated 2019-20 MCCC campaign and claimed hold of the regular season championship with two wins in Manhattan, KS over the Feb. 14-15 weekend.
The Lady Eagles defeated Manhattan Christian, 71-45, on Friday night, as all 9 Lady Eagles tallied on the scoresheet.
The next afternoon the Lady Eagles fought off a competitive Barclay Bears team, 100-67, and featured a double-double effort from Kia Gelinas and a triple-double performance from Tiffany Williams.
The Lady Eagles will now prepare for the 2020 Midwest Christian College Conference Tournament at Ozark Christian College in Joplin, MO on Feb. 21-22.
The #1-seeded Eagles will tipoff in the MCCC Semifinals on Friday, Feb. 21 @ 5:30pm against the winner of the quarterfinal match-up between the #4-seeded Ozark Ambassadors and #5-seeded CCCB Saints.
