DUBUQUE, IA – The Emmaus volleyball team defeated conference opponent Ozark Christian College on Friday night and Grace Bible College on Saturday morning, but fell to Grinnell College on Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Eagles cruised to a three set victory over Ozark Christian, who are in the throes of a rebuilding season. Emmaus won the match 25-3, 25-15, 25-12, and saw nice contributions from all players.
The match with Grace was an extremely tight back and forth affair, with each teams maintaining small leads. Emmaus was able to win in three sets, but the entire match was hard fought.
The Lady Eagles played well against Grinnell, but the larger Lady Pioneers were dominant at the net and took down the Lady Eagles in straight sets.
Emmaus sits at 10-1 on the season, and is back in action at home again next weekend, as they face off against Silver Lake College, Calvary University, and Dayspring Bible College.
