Banasky Signs with Lady Eagles

Verah Banasky signs with the Emmaus Lady Eagles volleyball team alongside Coach Pitman.

DUBUQUE, IA – The Emmaus Lady Eagles are pleased to add Verah Banasky to their 2018 roster.

Banasky, a 5'6 hitter from Melissa, TX, played for Dallas Skyline Juniors as well as Melissa High School.  Verah was also involved with Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the National Honor Society, and was a student council officer.

"I am excited to see what Verah will accomplish this season," commented Coach Pitman.  "She is very strong, a good leaper, and knows how to hustle for the ball.  Once she gets plugged into our system I believe she will develop into a very effective player."

"I chose to come to Emmaus because the fellowship of the students and faculty was just what I was looking for.  I wanted to attend a school that was focused on Christ and would help me grow in my relationship with Him," said Banasky.  "I'm also looking forward to building friendships with my teammates and being able to play a sport that I love.

Verah is the daughter of Ed and Barbara Banaksy, and is undecided on her major.  Her brother Reagan serves as a faculty member in the Educational Ministries Department at Emmaus.
