Second Annual Golf Classic a Success

Second Annual Golf Classic a Success

The second annual Emmaus Impact Golf Classic, presented by The Life Group, was held on Monday, May 19, at the Meadows Golf Club in Asbury, IA.

The event brought together more than 60 friends and alumni of Emmaus University for a day of golf and fellowship in support of Eagle Athletics. This year's proceeds will go toward purchasing a new scorer's table for Pollard Fieldhouse.

"We had a great day, and I want to extend my thanks to our event sponsors and all those who came out to play with us!" said Emmaus Athletic Director Chris McHugh.

"Our hope for the Emmaus Impact Golf Classic is to bring together a special group of people with an affinity for Emmaus—our partners in the Dubuque community, current student-athletes and parents, along with alumni and friends of the university—for a memorable day of golf and fellowship. We're grateful for the 60 golfers and five sponsors who joined us this year, and we look forward to seeing those numbers continue to grow in 2026!"

The winning foursome for 2025 included alumnus Skyler Sandry, Justin Dean, Matt Finck, and Jay Montgomery, who shot nine under par on the day. Additional prizes were awarded for the longest drive, longest putt, and closest to the pin, earned by Peter Smith, Stefan Johnson, and Kaleb White, respectively.

Mark your calendars for next year's Emmaus Impact Golf Classic which will return to The Meadows Golf Club on May 18, 2026.
