Eagles Suffer Conference Loss to Central

Wanting to start another winning streak, Emmaus faced conference foe Central on Saturday afternoon at Pollard Fieldhouse.  Unfortunately, the Eagles came up a bit short and fell to 7-16 on the year.

The biggest lead either team could muster up was only 7 points and neither team could seem to shake the other.  The Eagles leading scorer, Steven Horan, only had 4 shots in the half but still managed to score 10 points and add 5 assists to lead the Eagles into a halftime advantage of 39-34.  The Eagles had to be pleased with their shooting as well as they were hitting at 45% clip.

However, the Eagles percentage would drop to 35% in the second half.  Caleb Postma scored 10 second half points to lead the Eagles.  It wasn't enough however as Central came away the winner 73-66, outscoring the Eagles by 12 in the second half.

For the game, four Eagles scored in double figues, led by Horan with 13 points.  Nathaniel Glidewell scored 12 points while Elijah Reeves and Postma added 10 points each.
