Scholl Commits to Emmaus

Scholl Commits to Emmaus

We are excited to announce the signing of Zach Scholl, a student athlete from Bettendorf, IA!

Scholl is a homeschool student who played basketball for Morning Star Christian Academy under former Emmaus Basketball All-American Skyler Sandry. In the classroom, Zach maintained a 3.8 GPA throughout high school under a very rigorous classical curriculum.

On the court, Zach earned first team all-conference honors this past season while his team went on to win the NICC Conference championship and become the winningest team in Morning Star history with a final record of 18-3. Zach contributed heavily to their success by averaging 13.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.5 blocks, and 2 steals per game to fill up the stat sheets.

"We believe that Zach has the potential to be a premier shooter and scorer in our league. This is a huge piece of the puzzle for us!" Coach Graw exclaimed, "He's the type of student athlete you want as a part of your foundation and culture. Zach brings a very high IQ both on and off the court while also being strong in his faith knowing that everything he has, has come from the Lord Jesus. We are excited to welcome Zach to the Emmaus Family!"

Zach commented, "I chose Emmaus because I felt it was a good fit for me academically, athletically, and it gave me an opportunity to further my spiritual journey. I also saw that Coach Graw was putting together something special and I wanted to be part of it".

Zach plans to study Business Administration at Emmaus.
