Erbeck had this to say about his decision to begin his college basketball career at Emmaus Bible College. "I chose Emmaus because I felt like God was very strongly calling me to be a part of a Christian culture at Emmaus. When I first heard of Emmaus I immediately said 'no way,' but after about a month of God really stirring my heart I realized that Emmaus is exactly the school where I want to begin my college career. The basketball program excites me because of 2 reasons: First, the potential we have with all the new signings and even the players before that. A lot of talent is on the team this year and I'm really excited to see what we can do. Secondly, Coach Graw's godly approach to the game and what he is looking to do with us young men. With that approach it is going to be great."

With much enthusiasm and excitement, Coach Graw had this to say. "Michael is a big time addition to our program. Not only does he bring the ability to get a bucket at any time of need, but his leadership and maturity at the age of 18 is second to none. You will not find a harder worker in the gym and his energy, effort, and enthusiasm will fuel this team and program in its inception. What I appreciate and admire most about Michael is his focus to use his platform and influence to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am honored to walk alongside him in this journey."

Michael intends on completing a one-year Bible certificate program, and then seeking the Lord's will in regards to his next steps.
