Eagles Basketball Signs Marr

Eagles Basketball Signs Marr

Mitchell Marr of Maple Grove, Minnesota has signed a letter of intent to continue his basketball career with the Emmaus Men's Basketball program. Marr joins the Eagles after completing his 2-year program at Free Lutheran Bible College in Plymouth, MN.

As the first member of the 2022-23 Men's Basketball signing class, Marr will bring valuable experience to the young Eagles as they look to build on their success from the past season.

On choosing Emmaus, Mitchell shared "When I was looking for a school after graduating from FLBC, my main focus was to find a college with like minded people to surround myself with. Christ centered community is very important to me. When I visited it was apparent to me that Christ was the main focus. Everyone I met was incredibly welcoming and I could tell they wanted me to be there for other reasons than just obtaining another student. I have already formed relationships with some of the people I met during my visit and I knew once I left, Emmaus was the place I would end up." on what he's most looking forward to, Mitchell added "As of right now the thing I'm looking forward to the most is the basketball season. Basketball has always been a huge part of my life and I can't wait to play for a new team. I'm excited to see the relationships I form through basketball and I'm excited to see how God uses this amazing sport for my life next."

"I am really excited for Mitch to be a part of our team!" Coach Matthew Tomlinson shared. "His skill set is going to fit in very nicely within the program. He adds some big-time depth to our offense being able to score at all 3 levels, and gives us a veteran maturity transferring in from FLBC which is going to be very valuable on and off the court for us. You are going to hear a lot about Mitchell Marr these next few years!"

Please join us as we welcome Mitchell to the Emmaus Athletics family!
