In a spirited contest, Emmaus rallied to earn a second consectuive home victory, 3-1, over the Ozark Christian College Ambassadors. The result marks a significant milestone for the Eagles, as they reached a .500 on the season at 4-4-1, improving to 3-2 in MCCC play.

Despite finding themselves trailing 1-0 in the 34th minute, the Eagles responded swiftly. Cristian Anderson drew and converted a penalty kick opportunity, leveling the score before heading into halftime at 1-1.

The second half saw a surge in Emmaus' intensity, culminating in Caleb Hunter's game-winning goal, his second of the season. Hunter maneuvered past two Ozark defenders and clinically slotted home a left-footed shot, putting the Eagles ahead. The victory was sealed when Anderson converted from the penalty spot once again in the 75th minute, following a drawn penalty by Josh Matte.

The statistical dominance of 30 shots for Emmaus compared to 10 shots for Ozark highlighted the Eagles' offensive performance. And Tucker Kapas, the dependable goalkeeper for Emmaus, made seven crucial saves to secure the win.

Emmaus head coach Chris McHugh commented after the game, "That was not our best start today, but the guys rallied and increased their level in the 2nd half, and so we're excited to take another step and to prepare to host Faith on Tuesday." The coach's words reflect the team's resilience and determination, emphasizing their focus on continuous improvement as they look ahead to upcoming challenges in the season.
