Williams Named NCCAA Student-Athlete of The Week
Tiffany Williams has been named the NCCAA DII Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for her performances in back-to-back victories against Manhattan Christian College on Feb. 14 and versus Barclay College on Feb. 15.
Williams was one steal away from having two triple-doubles in less than 24 hours. In the 75-47 win over Manhattan Christian College, Williams finished with 23 points, 19 rebounds, 9 steals, and 6 assists.
The next day, Williams indeed tallied a triple-double in the Lady Eagles' regular season finale. Williams finished with 25 points, 14 rebounds, 5 steals, and 11 assists in the Lady Eagles' 100-67 triumph over Barclay College.
The versatile Williams ranks in the top 10 of the NCCAA DII in the following categories:
- 10th in scoring at 18.1 points/game
- 3rd in rebounding with 12.9 rebounds/game
- 3rd in field goal percentage at 54.9%/game
- 7th in assists with 4.6/game
- 3rd in steals with 4.5/game
- 3rd in minutes played with 36.4/game
Williams wraps up outstanding senior season campaign in 2019-20, averaging a double-double. She will finish her career with over 1,500 points, 500 rebounds, 300 assists, 400 steals, and 100 blocks.
Williams now leads her team into the post-season, beginning with the 2020 MCCC Tournament (Feb. 21-22) and then the NCCAA DII North Regional Tournament (Feb. 27-29).
Tiffany Williams, from Atlantic, IA, is an Intercultural Studies major at Emmaus Bible College. She is a 2019-20 team captain and 4-year member of the women's basketball program.
