Williams Earns Region MVP; Lady Eagles Soar to All-Region Selections

The Lady Eagles strong 2019-20 season was recognized by the NCCAA North Region, as Tiffany Williams was named the North Region MVP for a second year in a row, while three additional Eagles earned regional awards.

Region MVP: Tiffany Williams

Williams, the region's top vote-getter, was a force on both ends of the floor for the Lady Eagles.

Defensively, she led the team in rebounds and steals.  While on offense, her ball-handling and passing enabled her to influence the game from the post and the perimeter.  Williams numbers on the year filled up the stat sheet: 18.2 points/game, 12.8 rebounds/game, 4.5 assists/game, and 4.7 steals/game.

1st Team All-Region: Kia Gelinas

Partnering with Williams on both ends of the court was Kia Gelinas who earned 1st Team All-Region.

Gelinas ranked 5th in the nation in scoring average, and was a threat from inside and outside this season.  Gelinas also ranked 2nd in the country in 3-point shooting percentage.  She hit on 42.6% (52-122) from beyond the arc this season, while also helping on the boards to the tune of 8.4 rebounds/game.

3rd Team All-Region: Riley Harding

Emmaus point guard, Riley Harding's steady and efficient play this season, initiated the Eagles offensive attack and earned her 3rd Team All-Region recognition.

Harding, who averaged 32 minutes/game, contributed in all areas with 11.7 points/game, 5.2 rebounds/game and 4.7 assists/game to support the Eagles where needed most.

Honorable Mention All-Region: Kristen Morry

And Emmaus shooting guard, Kristen Morry, did just that this season.

Morry led the Lady Eagles in 3-point field goals made (63-146), and led the nation in 3-point percentage at 43.7%.

The Emmaus Lady Eagles return to action on Wednesday, March 11 @ 4pm vs. Pensacola Christian College in the NCCAA DII National Quarterfinals.
