Seniors Take Center Stage

DUBUQUE, IA - The Lady Eagles celebrated their 4 seniors across a pair of MCCC match-ups that saw them split contests against Calvary University and Ozark Christian College.

On Friday, the Lady Eagles led wire-to-wire in a 62-28 victory over the Warriors.  Kia Gelinas led the way with 17 points, and Riley Harding went for 11 points and 8 steals to pace the Eagles to victory.

On Saturday, it was the Ambassadors that pushed the tempo and raced out to a 21-point lead at halftime.  The Lady Eagles pushed back in the second half, and again Gelinas led all scorers with 26 points, and Harding went for a double-double, eclipsing the 1,000 point threshold for her career, finishing with 14 points and 10 assists.

After Saturday's contest, the Lady Eagles honored all four of their outstanding seniors, Cory Brodmerkle, Kia Gelinas, Riley Harding, and Hunter Muranaka, in a post-game ceremony with family and friends.

The Lady Eagles return to the court for a NCCAA North Region match-up on Thursday, Feb. 10 @ 4pm vs. Maranatha Baptist University.
