Volleyball Captures Victory on the Road

MOBERLY, MO – The Lady Eagles swept the Central Christian College of the Bible Lady Saints 3-0 in an MCCC match on Friday evening.  Emmaus improves to 6-2 (2-1 MCCC) on the season.

Every player contributed to the win as Emmaus juggled rotations in an attempt to strengthen team play and bring more versatility to their lineup.  "We are still not running "Plan A" for our team, due to various circumstances, such as injuries, that are beyond our control," commented Coach Pitman.  "I appreciated the effort tonight as we had players get out of their comfort zones a bit.  We are only going to be strong and competitive if we are unified, so every match we need to challenge ourselves to do our best and handle whatever circumstances come our way.  We did great for the most part tonight and although we have areas in which to improve our outlook is still very positive as we head into the second half for the season."

The Lady Eagles hit .361 and were .959 from the serving line.  Hannah Snow and Alli Howard fronted the Emmaus attack with 10 kills each.  Elizabeth Brame chipped in 7 kills and Hannah Bell dished up 33 assists.

Emmaus is back in action on Friday night as they host Manhattan Christian College at home in an MCCC contest.  Match time is 7:00 pm in the Pollard Fieldhouse.
