Lady Eagles Sign Striley

Lady Eagles Sign Striley

Michelle Striley of Erie, Illinois has signed a letter of intent to continue her volleyball career with the Emmaus Lady Eagles Volleyball program. Striley ended her high school career at the top of the Northern Illinois Christian Conference as she helped lead her team to a conference championship.

Michelle brings a wealth of skill to the Lady Eagles as she was named NICC MVP, Offensive player of the year (2x), and received Hustle Excellence and Christian Character awards among other honors received. She joins Emmaus as the fourth signed member of the 2023 Women's Volleyball signing class.

"I'm looking forward to playing volleyball with some of the girls I've grown up with, and getting to know the rest of the girls even more!" Michelle shared, "I'm excited to make more friendships, memories and grow more in my relationship with Christ."

"I chose Emmaus because of the Christian atmosphere. Coming from a Christian school, I knew I didn't want to leave the Christian atmosphere. I wanted to make sure I was surrounded by other believers who will hold me accountable and encourage me to be more Christ-like."

"We are so excited to welcome Michelle into our program!" Shared Coach Hannah Richter "She so clearly lives her life to honor and glorify Christ. She will bring a strong social dynamic really quickly due to knowing a few of the girls for many years prior to coming to Emmaus in the fall! Her volleyball IQ is stellar, and I'm looking forward to seeing how she develops and runs the court in the setting position."

Please join us as we welcome Michelle to the Emmaus Athletics family!
