The Emmaus Bible College Women's Volleyball team displayed resilience and earned recognition at the Midwest Christian College Conference (MCCC) Tournament hosted in Manhattan, Kansas. The tournament featured intense matches, impactful performances, and culminated in well-deserved accolades for the Eagles.

Quarterfinal Triumph and Defensive Prowess

In the quarterfinal match, #4-seeded Emmaus faced the #3-seeded Ozark Ambassadors in a back-and-forth match. Despite dropping the first set 22-25, the Eagles rallied to secure the next three sets (25-16, 25-20, 25-16), ultimately claiming victory. Kaitlin Rahn's remarkable 16 kills and Selah Gregory's 15 kills contributed significantly to the offensive effort. The Eagles' defensive prowess was on full display, with Jennika Beach recording 22 digs, Lauren Fessler with 21 digs, Michelle Striley notching 19 digs, and Sabrina Hawley contributing 10 digs.

Challenges in Semifinal and 3rd Place Match

The semifinal posed a formidable challenge for Emmaus as they faced the #1 seed and tournament hosts, the Manhattan Thunder. Despite putting up a strong fight, the Thunder secured victory in three sets (25-15, 25-23, 25-14).

In the 3rd place match against the Faith Eagles, the Emmaus squad fought valiantly but fell short in straight sets (25-15, 25-20, 25-12). With their performance in the MCCC Tournament, the Emmaus Eagles finish conference play 4th in the final standings, for both the regular season and tournament.

Recognition and MCCC Awards

The Emmaus Eagles concluded the MCCC Tournament with notable recognition. The team was honored with the prestigious "MCCC Sportsmanship Award," reflecting their commitment to fair play and positive conduct throughout the season.

Two standout first-year players, Jennika Beach, a Libero from Humboldt, IA, and Kaitlin Rahn, an Outside Hitter from Genoa, IL, earned well-deserved recognition. Both players were named to the 2nd Team All-Conference, showcasing their individual contributions to the team's success.
